Two colours and two designs featuring Anapalaku Walka (Ernabella Design) by Makinti Minutjukur

This iconic design evolved out of the first drawings that school children made at the Ernabella Mission in the 1940s. The designs are based on flowers, leaves and the rich colourful arid landscape of the APY Lands

Ernabella artists have been using this Walka on floor rugs, weavings, batik, ceramics and canvas for more than 75 years

These sturdy totes with an inside pocket and are available for sale in the online shop on our website

Ernabella Arts is thrilled to announce Pantu / Salt Lake by Janice Stanley has been acquired from @everywhenartspace for the rotational art collection @aus_parliament_house

This collection comprises works of contemporary Australian art and craft that reflect aspects of Australian culture, character and identity. The Rotational Collection is on display at Parliament House in Canberra

Works by Janice can currently be seen as part of the Minyma-ku Tjukurpa exhibition at @everywhenartspace that finishes tomorrow

Ernabella artists Elizabeth Dunn and Imuna Kenta were two of the 26 Ernabella artists who handmade each individual tjanpi sculpture for this gorgeous project with @tjanpidesertweavers

The judges said ‘What a joy to read. This book is for everyone, not just children. The woven sculpture illustrations are unique, effective and full of character. A must for every school library’

Bush Balm has been used by Indigenous people in Central Australia to soothe arthritis, muscle pain and joint inflammation and may also be used as a chest rub for cold and flu

In 2019 Purple House opened its first South Australian clinic, a four-chair facility in Pukatja/Ernabella on the APY Lands. It’s named the Kinyin McKenzie Dialysis Centre after Tjunkaya’s brother who was one of the main advocates for a clinic in his home community

Without on Country dialysis many people are forced to leave their communities and families to seek treatment for end-stage renal failure in Alice Springs, Adelaide, or Darwin. With treatment on Country, artists and patients in Pukatja have been able to return home and pass on cultural knowledge in their community over the past 5 years
