Sharon Ah Chee is an emerging artist and since recently returning to Pukatja has been exploring the medium of painting. Pukatja is where Sharon’s mother was born and she has returned to reconnect and learn about her culture, history and painting.
Sharon is inspired by her country and the creation story Kungkurang Kalpa (seven sisters). Sharon is experimenting with colour and contemporising by translating traditional stories and life’s journey onto canvas.
