Michael is a member of the highly regarded Lionel family who are renowned Ernabella artists. His grandmother is Yurpiya, his mother is Rachael and his aunt is Alison. Michael started painting in 2021 having been inspired by watching his mother, Rachael, creating her beautiful artworks at home. He is developing his own distinct painting style.
