Cassyanne was born in Alice Springs and grew up in Kanpi community on the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in remote SA. She began creating art when she was a young girl with her grandmother, the renowned artist Maringka Baker, who encouraged and mentored her. Cassyanne paints her grandmother’s stories that have been handed down to her. She likes to paint the significant story of Minyma Kutjara – Two Women.
